The Little Elf [lotd 11.16.2011]

Okay so, here's how I look like today. Back to becoming the Little Elf. I do miss my elven ears for sure. I have like 5 pairs of them but the ones I'm wearing most is these Elven Ears Sepidie by Plastik. Besides them easy to tint, the scripts are deletable which I prefer because I don't want to contribute to sim lag as I can't bear not being able to move because of heavy scripts.

Although its getting a little bit colder in my RL planet, I still prefer the humid weather so I pulled out my bulky wool sweater and summer jean shorts as they are my fave outdoor wear as well. I love the touch of rainbow color on my top wear, it makes me feel more comfortable.

So I was hanging out with my friend Jun. Told him to pose a little bit for my new LOTD entry. We're both posers on cam, that's one thing we both enjoy doing. So here on the photo shows that I bullied him. Literally, I yelled "Horaaa! You come here and do a pose with me!"

We were actually on a hunt looking out for something. I get frustrated and cried because its like impossible to find that "thing."

The Part Time Waiter & Sister Act Effect

Hello :-) Today my friend and I attempt to play a waiter role. Another fun way to dress up and look like one, doesn't have to be expensive. Our outfits come in complete set with accessories, platter with coffee, juice and food dispenser.

While tending the breedable market, we are dressed this way. I even got a compliment from one of  our renters. He says we looked too cute and funny LOL. Our outfits were masterpieces of Milk Hall Fair's Attic designed by a brilliant and generous Japanese named Fair Saeed.

Another design of Fair Saeed that amuses me is this Sister Clothing Set. You can actually feel like Sister Mary Clarence in the Sister Act movie if you try this on hehe. Not a lot could have known where this Milk Hall Fair's Attic is, as it has been closed since 2008. The place serves now as a showroom where every genius masterpieces of Fair Saeed are set 0L$ (totally Free.)

Jun Loves his New Braces!

Once, there was a little young boy who loves to wander around the grid. He used to wander all by himself and along his journey, he met new friends. But although he loves to wander alone, he seem to be having fun and enjoying it.

He is dress today like a hip-hop, with prim teeth braces by DeeTalez and carrying a French Loaf paper bag as he loves to eat. Cute Kid isn't he?

Jun loves to wear his new braces. It took us less than 5 mins to adjust and fit it in on a kid shape. Looks very realistic and fashionable I must say. The French Loaf paper bag is also fun as it comes with an eating animation which also allows you to share your food.

So the little guy enjoys eating his food until a little girl took it away from him LOL. He goes, "Hey wait a minute! That's my food." "Well, can I have a bite? " The little girl replied.

My Kiddo Buddy

I have been hanging a lot lately with my kiddo buddy Junnin and must have to admit that we had a lot of fun times together. He's actually one of the reason why I refuse to grow up hehe.

One thing we enjoyed doing is dressing up and posing on the camera. As I was looking for new stuffs to wear, I came across Koketka's latest Designs and pulled out a casual look that made him goes "Wow, You look very pretty!" And I'm like, "Wow, you startled me. CW: "The SL Man Will Never Look The Same Again!"

Today we take a break from the world of breedable market management to blog this new release by Cole Wexhome. It's a dapper creation for the man who likes to class up his casual look. The yellow linen shirt is masterfully textured with clear lines, buttons and pockets. The outfit includes a prim collar and cuffs on the shirt and Khaki shorts for an authentic feel. To up the fashion forward value of this creation, CW also included a stylish fedora and an over the shoulder messenger bag to project a more on the go image. The final item an outfit like this needs is the right footwear to pull everything together, a stunning brown men's oxfords. It's a nice touch that makes buying this outfit all the more convenient. (No having to take your guy out to buy shoes separately ladies. Thank you CW that was painless!)

SL7B - Callie Cline Dream On!

While on my preview expedition for Second Life's 7th Birthday, I ran into a builder whose also a friend, Callie Cline, who was working on her collaborative exhibit. I snapped photos and interviewed her about her take on the past, present, and future. I also get to ask her birthday message for SL. In my few months as a blogger, I've always a fan of Callie's artwork as she did a great job on a winter sim last year. It was a fun experience to have had reviewed her work in the past. For SL7B, here's some photos of the magic you can see at Callie Cline's.

Here's a brief interview I did with her:

ME:  Hello Callie :) I see from your profile that you have been here since 2005. What brought you to Second Life, and what was it like back then?

Callie Cline: A friend invited me to try it. I thought it was boring and awkward...it was weird because there were Goreans and a lot of sex clubs and it was very hard to understand.

ME: As for the present, I see you are at the SL7B celebration. What is your contribution and what inspired what you are making?

Callie Cline: People and touching their lives are my inspiration.

ME: Looking forward, what do you think Second Life will become in the future and what would you like to see?

Callie Cline: I think SL will probably be smaller and I hope LL gets their vision back to just do business better caring for it's core customers.

ME: Lastly If you had a birthday message for Second Life, what would it be?

Callie Cline: My message would be, "May you have many more birthdays and may all the residents in SL realize that more of us are stronger then one of us and we all need each other to play an important part of the team." :)

Happy 7th Birthday Second Life

 

I recently had the honor to slip under the velvet rope for this year's Second Life 7th Birthday celebration! The theme of Second Life's 7th journey around the sun is "Unexpected Collaborations." The celebration will be done on a massive scale such as we've seen with other celebrations like Burning Life. SL7B will take place on a total of 21 sims with over 300 exhibits and live performers. The sims will also be filled with the creative works of over 700 contributors. With my shiny press pass around my neck, I entered the party grounds and was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer size of the place. Take a look at this landscaped birthday message as just one example.



I wandered from one inspired build to another until I got very lost hehe.  I finally decided to randomly teleport using the map when I ran into a friend of mine, Callie Cline. I decided to interview Callie at that point. You'll be seeing the interview very soon. What I should tell you now is that this is an event that is not to be missed. You can join the festivities in honor of our favorite virtual world on June 21 at 10am SLT. The celebrations will last until June 27th so we all have a few days of partying together. I must say I'm excited about the creative builds, the freebies, the live events, and speakers we will see over the coming days. Have a look at these photos to get a nice idea of what to expect when the gates open.









Second Life has been so many things to so many people. For me it's a place to share my love of photos and blogging, as well as where I met my special man. I'm both happy and a bit surprised that SL is already 7 years old. Just a few more years and we will reach double digits! But I'm getting ahead of things XD. First, we will all have to see each other tomorrow to wish our dear second world a happy birthday.

Welcomes Back BFF in SL..... It's been Awhile!

Yay! I'm so excited that my fashionable, loving, sweet and bestest bestfriend in SL came online today. I was actually a bit surprised coz I haven't seen him in awhile. For some of you who follows my blog, I would assume you already seen him featured many times in the past. Meet my BFF Jin, my bestfriend, SL Guardian, mentor, tutor, big bro... well he keeps me company. I'm thinking that just maybe if I didn't meet Liam, we would still be hanging around together and I would still be crushing on him lol. I bet to some people who knows us and will read this would think I'm cazy. But its really true, I got a huge crush on him! Yay!=) LOL anyway, I dedicate this post to my BFF Jin.

My BFF also has introduced me to a lot of fashion brands in the second life, as he is an old resident just like my sister Jeckie, but of course not as old as my partner Liam. Among the male avis I met in SL, I would say that Jin is best as he is good at fixing body prim attachments and accessories. I learned a lot of tips from him and we both enjoy this gesture he made.... "I am a primmy avatar, and I am proud of it!" XD
