The Origami Event 2015

Today was my first time that I went to an Origami event. This festival is in celebration of one of the biggest holiday seasons in Japan, we call it Obon Matsuri. The celebrations in Second Life usually take place a little bit earlier than the real life version. What you will find here in SL is a story quest that combines love, horror, and an item hunt. I won't say too much about the story other than to say it is really interesting. You will have to pay attention to the characters you interact with the free hud you receive. It really reminds me of some of the modern online games which have quest lines. While there are some of Second Life’s technical limitations when compared to a traditional game, the production value is really quite good.

(Please click my photos for a larger view and feel free to add me on Flickr)

If you have never been to Japan during this time of year, this festival will give you a little taste of what it is like. Of course there are not ghost floating around, or are there? :) You will however find lots of food and drink along with games and fireworks. It is one of my favorite times of the year.

The Origami Event started on July 5th and will end until August 25th.

VIVE9 フリービス

The Vive9 Store is closing soon due to some RL Issues. But the store owner, BluAbyss Denimore, is generously giving away 20+ freebie bags containing skins, shapes, eyes, clothing, and even accessories... some were previously unreleased items.

When I read about it in the feed last night, I TP'd and checked the store right away..=)) The lag was kuh-ree-zieee!!! But I guess I was too lucky to get "IN." I took a snap from a far... some residents were getting impatient... I saw many bald headed and there were others who already went naked just to bare with the lag situation XD.

Anyway, there are a few I like in the freebie items. Particularly, I like the face of these 3 unreleased Manon skins. I also love love love the FREE vintage eyessssssss and tote bags!!! =) I was able to grab 26 freebie bags from the sim... and for someone to give away too many stuffs despite some RL problems is really one of a kind. Giving full credits to the owner and hopes you good as well.

Apart from the many freebie bags, all other skins are specially marked down for as low as L$400 and fat packs of L$1000. In this event, I remember the anniversary from Lelook Sim were its really very hard to move once you get in. So just try your luck! :D

I'd been receiving notices from the Sway Land group for the past days about closing the sim soon. Sway Dench have asked all tenants to recover their items.... I am representing Shiki and carelessly thought that Shinichi must have received the information until one day, I got a notice again that I had been ejected from the group XD. So I checked on the place and wondered why... I didn't really know that Sway has moved and guess what, the new sim is even way better. The cutie bears in her shop are all still doing well, even getting prettier each day XD. They're sooo Cute! Hubby's not online yet so I drag BFF instead to the new sim and we got these awesome gifts by Sway and her tenants.

I'm wearing:

After Sway, BFF left me because he was sleepy. So I wandered alone and found this beautiful place. Very pleasant and peaceful scenes... I actually found it by getting the LM of Zacca Main Shop, one of Sway's tenants. I'm glad I reached this place. There's a neighbor shop here named Clematis that gives out free gifts of nature. You gotta love these Umeboshi mini trees yummmm.
